The Rose & Crown, Ashbury Hotel - Ashbury (Oxfordshire)

I stayed in the Superior Double Room, and it was super comfy. Lots of space and tastefully decorated, a nice touch. The bed was large, and I slept really well. Clean bathroom with high-quality toiletries too. Totally loved the vibe of the place!

The rooms were good-sized and equipped with a lovely comfortable bed and large bathroom plus dual aspect windows. The location was perfect and lovely - an easy walk to everywhere we wanted to go.

Was all great!

We were offered fantastic and delicious breakfast options with proper ham. The property's location was absolutely perfect, the next day's adventures.

The cozy room was nice, but there was intrusive music at night.

Consider requesting a room away from the extractor fan for a quieter night's sleep.

This place suits me perfectly, offering free parking, a cozy bar, and delicious meals. I remember how the staff helped me find my lost car keys during my first stay. Highly recommend for a relaxing holiday....  

Family with children, a real gem

The rooms were very comfortable and beautifully decorated, so lovely that it seemed like we were in a different world. Plus, the customer service was top notch. They seriously were really nice too sort out an early...  

We enjoyed playing darts and loved the close proximity to Cotswold Water Park. The staff were super friendly, and the food was delicious. Our room was clean and cozy.

We had a fabulous family room with two separate areas, a lovely surprise. The rooms were spacious, modern, and comfortable. The rose is only a short walk from the ridgeway national trail. The food at the pub downstairs was excellent, and the...  

Request a fan if you're visiting during summer. it really helped keep our room comfortable.

A Good Stay with Really good Dining!

Our group enjoyed a nice night in a beautifully decorated room. The food in the restaurant was great-do try the Welsh rarebit and the chocolate hazelnut cheesecake, lovely treats! Friendly staff. Don't miss out on the full English breakfast. It's a must!

Really good Staff and Community Vibe

I loved how cute the staff was throughout my stay. The food was fantastic, particularly the breakfast with local products that tasted amazing. The location is great for hikers, with direct access to the fine Ridgeway walks. I would have liked a bit more variety in the starter menu, but overall, it was a good experience.

Perfect spot after a long walk!

We stayed for a night after hiking, and it was awesome! The room was spacious and super clean. The veggie dinner we had was sooo tasty! The vibe was chill, made even better by watching the World Cup with friendly folks. Just a heads up, the pub closes in the afternoon, so check-in could be tricky if you arrive early.

The rose has a nice warm vibe, and the convenient parking makes it easy to access. The attached pub is cozy and served one of the best meals i've had with great locals around. It's just a perfect spot...  

Would recommend for a swift visit

Fantastic atmosphere, friendly staff, who provided non-feather pillows for allergies and offered a welcome drink, made our stay more fun, located conveniently for picturesque countryside walks and only 66 km from the nearest airport....
